Why We Exist (And How We Got Here)
Back in 2012 a Yukon dad (bald, backwards hat permanently attached) stared at a dead dryer the same week his first kid came home from the hospital. Money was tight, a new dryer wasn’t an option, and the nearest real parts store was 45 minutes away in the city. So he learned to fix it himself. Then the washer. Then the neighbor’s oven. Then the other neighbor’s fridge.
Fulfilling a Need
Every time the story was the same:
“Good luck finding that part locally.”
So he emptied the savings account, turned the garage into a parts stash, slapped a handwritten sign on the street that said “Appliance parts – text me,” and Yukon Appliance Parts was born.
Humble Beginnings
He knew he was onto something when neighbors would come out of the woodwork from El Reno, Blanchard, and far away towns. Soon enough, every Good Ol' Boy from Oklahoma was coming to YAP because they could avoid driving into the city.
2022 – The Garage Days
One dryer, one baby, one credit card, and a whole lot of “we’ll figure it out.”
2025 – Still Here, Still Local
Same guy, same hat, bigger building, same promise: if it’s broke, we’ve probably got the part today.
That’s Still Us.
We’re not a chain. We’re not Amazon. We’re the backwards-hat guy who started in a garage because nobody else in Yukon would sell you a $25 part without making you drive an hour.
